Our story began with an Italian family who wanted to bring the authentic taste of southern Italy to Belfast - not just through recipes, but through the warmth and togetherness that Italian dining is all about.

Our name, Scalini, means “steps” in Italian, and you’ll find plenty of little steps throughout our restaurant. For us, those steps are more than just part of the building - they’re a symbol of the many small steps that bring people together: preparing food with care, welcoming you like family, and creating moments to be shared around the table.

We are passionate about rustic, hearty Italian cooking, with a menu inspired by the richness of traditional southern cuisine. From our famous handmade stone-baked pizzas to authentic pastas and a carefully chosen selection of meats and fish, every dish is made with the freshest ingredients and plenty of love.

We know every table is unique, so we’re always happy to accommodate special dietary needs where possible - with gluten-free pastas and sauces that are every bit as full of flavour.
